Naz task 4

The film Wanted is not the typical hollywood film as it has exaggerated scenes in the film that people may like because its defining the laws of reality but because its entertaining people will enjoy the film, in this clip we see a man running through the elevator as he has already killed a woman, the techniques they used to make the film more entertaining by slowing down the bullet scenes/danger scenes, also in the clip we then see the man jump out of the window through the glass in slow motion to make the scene more exciting so this will make the audience like the film even more.

I like this clip because it showed so much exciting and exaggerated scenes  that cannot be done in real life which made it fun to watch , I liked the way the slowed down the time of how each person was killed it made it different rather than regular films where they get shot and we don't see the bullet go through the head ,so I liked that because it was different it made the film more interesting and not so typical as other action films as people would die quick in other action films.

This film is also good for people who like action films and for people who want to see something different so i watched it for the first time it was on my mind for a very long time because this film in most scenes catches you off guard and your not expecting some of the things that are being shown in just one clip, the film wanted also made me want watch the film again because of the action but mainly because it has a good range of camera angles and a strong and easy storyline that people can almost relate to.

The film is also very different as in ,most action films people fight with guns but its never actually slown down and you never see people dodging bullets normally the character  dies and thats the end of the characters run in the movie.

Rewind mind map sue

First ideas

Shoot a story with a normal narrative ,then edit the story then ill play the story backwards ,flipping the narrative and the events of the story backwards.

Rewind video ,so a story that starts from finish and the beginning is the end of the story.

Second ideas
Green screen of me interacting with my self chasing myself in different backgrounds e.g. sunset background ,space background , jungle scene of me running

Third ideas

My third idea would be to do something similar to what I saw at Tatemorden gallery ,where a woman was in therapy talking to herself about her problems and it was being projected on the other side of the room , so there was two videos of her giving herself advice and one was distressed. but instead of a therapy session i will make it different and interview myself about music and ask myself various questions

Fourth idea

My fourth idea would be to show different peoples identity In the video with different music in the background relating to the lines "that's not me" ,I will gather a few people to be in my video installation and use the surroundings and put my own kind of flavour to it ,to make it as creative as possible,I will use at least 6 people for my video and I will use an empty space.

Sam taylor wood

Sam Taylor Wood - she takes videos of decomposing things /animals/ fruits and makes them move slowly , the video I watched was about a decomposing Hair and over moths we see the changes of the hair as it becomes rotten seeing different stages of the Hair ,at the end of the video we see that the hair has completely decomposed and that the fruit has stayed completely the same,Taylor Wood said that at first she didn't want to become an artist at first but every idea she kept on producing were just so creative it turned out to be more artistic then the next.

Sam TaylornWood took photos of John Lennon for her work just a few hours before Lennon was assassinated ,she also worked with the Rolling Stones very own famous photographer Annie Leibovitz in the John Lennon photograph, Sam woods also used different ways of expressing her art by doing it other ways ,e.g she used video style to capture certain things for her work,In 1997 Woods won an award for her art work that she never really wanted to call art work in the start of her making the creative things she had done ,She won the Illy CafĂ© Prize for Most Promising Young Artist at the 1997 Venice Biennale.

Taylor-Wood was commissioned by the National portrait gallery  to make a video portrait of footballs very own David Beckham, her most well know famous creative art work is called "crying men" which she made in early 2002 ,this features so many know Hollywood actors like Robin Williams, Sean Penn , Laurance fishburne and Paul Newman.Woods has also featured in such various things in her career away from her art work which she is most know for ,but things like TV shows and the annular film festival has boosted her name through out the world.

mood board Tate-M

This will be my idea for my final piece ,,it will be based on maybe fairy tail story's and are going to be remade and acted out by real life people but the twist would be to change it and do all the events in a fairy tail (the original) in reverse just to make the idea and the whole concept of the final piece more interesting

naz task 3

Film trailer

Teenage mutant Ninja Turtles is a classic film that was made in the 90's and has been remade many times in the film industry.

Because most of our parents grew up on this show and most kids who were born in the 90's grew up on this cartoon turned into a family action film would want to see how it has changed from there generation so them watching this film can be watched out curiosity to see how its changed over the years and the storyline.

This would be a film that entertains the younger as well audience because there are cartoons of the teenage mutant ninja turtles that have been remade so many times ,so they know the charters and almost what to expect from the film. The creators of the film made the trailer to grab the attention of the current and original teenage mutant ninja turtle fans and show the evolution of how the film has changed over the years.

The trailer was also used to capture a new audience of fans who may be in the cinema at the time waiting to watch a different film then in the adverts of the film you come across the trailer, so this would appeal to anyone who likes action films and anyone who just in general likes the film.

Evaluation sues Video installation

Evaluation

I had some good shots of people being themselfs in the video I used abit of blurred camera techniques  for one or two of the shots I took of people ,i also added some of my own writing in the background and used my surroundings well for my final project so it can look as natural as possible.

I think that overall the final piece I did for my video installation was good because I showed different peoples emotions in the video and related the songs with the people who were on the video,I had to change some if my ideas to make it for with my project because at first I was going to make it a video where you can rewind and it was going to be telling a story any made up story ,e.g a well known fairy tail like (the three little pigs )but acted out in real life ,but I decided to change it because the idea was too complicated at some parts.

I think that I could have improved my final piece abit more by maybe adding a few more people in the video doing different emotions to get there charter and maybe edited it in maybe in reverse too see how it would look and to get the same rewinded effect that I originally planed  ,it would have been more different as the whole almost story like idea I produced would have been more better.

Lighting sue photo

What is RIM lighting

This is hard light that reflects on the model and leaves behind a light like shadow around the edge of the models head ,it also outlines things on a picture you don't normally see and also defines the shadow.it also brings out the features in the human face more ,photographers mostly use this for males to give them the masculine affect.

What is clam lighting ?

clam shell photography

Clam lighting and reflector is used, the model holds a reflector,it gives of a shiny surface giving the model an almost glow in the face.
What is soft and hard lighting ?

What is an advantage of using directional light for portraits ?

A good advantage about using strong directional lights are that you can make the skin tone of the model look clear and smooth.

freelance draw up contract -Levia

Give a brief explanation of working freelance ?

A freelancer is basically someone who is there own boss and can work at will and whenever they want ,they don't really have to answer to anyone or go into an office because they can work at home and maybe if they have enough money they can employee there own staff or assistant,
Freelancers may work part-time or full-time. Because they are not considered employers, freelancers are allowed to work for other employers and are usually permitted to perform tasks in their own way, so long as the work gets done to the client's specifications

List the main advantages and disadvantages

Advantages

Freelancing is what the first four letters of the work actually means "Free" now this means that you are free to work however you choose basically being your own boss if you wasn't before now you are in freelancing .
Working from home or from a remote workplace as a freelancer allows you to dictate your own hours and work at times most convenient to you. Freelancers with young children, for instance, can work after the children are sleeping.
As a freelance worker, you can control your work load. While client demands can, at times, dictate your schedule, you can turn away work during busy times or accept more work during lean times.

Disadvantages

You don’t get sick pay
Some clients will be late payers, so you’ll have to chase them for money.
If you want to keep your skills up to date, you’ll have to pay for your own training from now on
Another disadvantage to freelancing would be it gets very busy as your basically your own boss and you tell yourself what to do, but on top of that this is where things get really stressful especially if your terrible at maths, yes that means you have to do your own accounting, while as if you’re in a company you wouldn't have to worry about accounting what so ever.

Write a description of your particular media production skills and decide which ones your going to freelance, what areas would you develop? do you think freelance will suit you ?

Make a presentation to illustrate your conclusion

http://prezi.com/jxoifwcsnqrd/?utm_campaign=share&utm_medium=copy

List the main items you would expect to find in a contract for a particular job which fits your individual skills and which you would be happy

I would expect in the contract because its a music producers contract , It would be different to any normal contract draw up , I would expect to see payment issues and agreements , terms and conditions legal issues E.G copy rights  ,so that means no one has the right to copy a song I've made or and instrumental I've made no one can vocal it and use it as an original track and say its there own.

Design an appropriate invoice and explain when you would use it

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Unuw03gLXaoAV3iOyolqORLgGUi3TvDkrXLcOeLlOl0/edit?usp=sharing << The link to my invoice. I will send this as a proof as transaction after I have done work for a company. So they may have a document of each piece of work I have done, that they commissioned.

DVD sue For & Against

Is the DVD dead ?

YES For

Some people would say DVD is dead because people do not use DVD anymore ,as people now have different ways of watching films and TV programs in this day of age ,Now a days we have things like Live streaming ,Netfilx ,love film,YouTube, now TV,Blink box,+illegal sites ,where people can each just about anything they set there heart of watching because in most areas this free and you don't have to pay for it at all ,same as other people would simply just be old school and just go to the cinema to watch a new film just to have that whole cinema feeling and atmosphere.

Most films these days that people watch are More likely to get released online than through DVD/Blu -Ray is the new DVD because it's free and they wouldn't want to watch it on DVD and keep the actual physical copy when they can just watch it online and get rid if it.

Online more convenient

Previous shops that use to hold DVDs now a days are not around any more ,shops like Blockbuster, prime time,HMV are all closed/closing because the sales of DVD is not living up to the hype of what it once was maybe 10 years ago now that everything can be accesed so easily.

Another opinion instead of DVD is I tunes which is Cheaper to rent a movie on rather than go out of your way to go into a shop and buy a DVD/film that you'd most likely only watch once or twice and may not want to watch it again after that's.

People also say that DVDs are dead because the disk it's self may scratch from time to time because it's maybe that old ,so it may not even work as good as online or rented films you can get on iTunes because the physical copy may not exactly work.

DVDs are now being transported to things like Tablets ,smart phones, computers have killed the DVD player so people can take it on the go rather than stay at home and watch there favourite film ,they can now take it on the go where every they may be.

NO against

Some people are very classic and like the whole DVD thing ,some people say that DVD are more reliable,as in they have better (Quality) band with issues/not london ECT ,subscriptions can be Expensive + not .V cost effective.

People still buy DVDs today because they don't like the whole idea of watching it illegally ,some pow pls also say that DVDs are better than online filming because the sounding and other things like the video quality are not good enough even though it is free they would rather pay for quality than be cheap and not get any quality

DVDs dead ? No- people still buy them

Film makers still do make money out of selling DVDs as there film has been in the cinema for a month and then over a million copy's go around the world into different shops and people still go about and buy them e.g for things like Christmas presents ,birthday presents or just simply because they want to watch it on DVD as it is much cheaper than going to the actual cinema to watch the film  producers still make money from DVD sales.

Again people say DVD benefits who you are, as you might think that they are doing themselves a favour by buying a film that maybe someone else in there family would want to watch ,or a just the fact that they don't have to go on any websites and worry about the lack of quality when you have the real hard copy at home with you.

Some customers actually Enjoy the ritual of DVDs,so that means thy enjoy the whole sitting at home turning off the lights putting the movie in and getting popcorn I'm the comfort of there own home ,because everything thing is just there for you ,you can pause the DVD anytime you want let's say if you fall asleep on the sofa or of you just simply need to go to the toilet it's on pause button so you never actually miss anything of the movie your in control of everything In that moment this makes the whole DVD experiences more convenient
